First sunrise!

After a week of foggy mornings, today was the first day we woke up to clear skies.  Beautiful!  It's since clouded over and the wind has picked up--I have trouble imagining a high of 22 today.

Yesterday we had an appointment at 3pm to look at a rental, so Reid was home early and we took the opportunity to take a walk before the end of the day.  Since daylight savings time it gets dark pretty early--dusk around 5:30 and night has completely covered the valley by 7.

Some things never change.
The weather here most reminds me of summertime in Teton Valley--comfortable air but a blistering sun, cool nights despite warm daytime temperatures.  Haven't seen a clear sky without clouds, and we still haven't been able to see the stars yet--it's been even more cloudy at night.  Hopefully it'll clear up a bit for the total lunar eclipse on Wednesday--mark your calendars!

A couple more rental viewings today and we should have our decision by tonight.  The places today look pretty promising--but we'll see what the situation in the kitchen is.  One of the places we saw yesterday didn't have a fridge.  I'm looking forward to moving out of the caravan park.  It'll be nice to finally get settled in and at the very least we'll have an address to get a library card.

  1. So, we looked for the lunar eclipse on Wednesday, only to find it was on Tuesday here and we'd missed it. ha ha. We'll get the international date line concept before long.

  2. Oh no! Shoot... I'm sorry -_- Though I suppose it might've been in the middle of the night for you guys too, while for us it was right at sundown.
