| Open flat road stretching ahead |
The first day of our roadtrip to Victoria was driving to Gundegai, NSW
(approximately eight hours drive, a little more than halfway to our
destination.) It started off as a clear, hot day, but by late afternoon
some welcome clouds rolled in and we even had a little rain.
It
was pretty interesting to drive that long (our previous roadtrips have only
ever been as far as the Blue Mountains, Sydney, or Brisbane), especially
inland through agricultural land. We drove through fields of cut wheat,
sorghum, corn, but most of all (and of course) seemingly endless open cattle grazing land. The
photos may look pretty monotonous, all just varying shades of brown, but
it was pretty neat to see the subtle changes in the landscape as we
drove.

There is one section of road that crosses the railroad tracks eight or nine times.. we counted, we thought it was pretty funny. |

Reminds me of Iowa .. er, ah, maybe there was a subliminal message in there somewhere?
