King Parrots and Cherry Blossoms
Australian King Parrots (
Alisterus scapularis
) nibbling on the blossoms of the cherry tree.
The females and immature birds look similar with the light green head and neck.
The distinctively brilliant scarlet males give a 'piping whistle' call.
