The first of September marks the official beginning of spring in Australia! We've been enjoying the longer days and all the colorful spring blooms around town, and all the bees and birds attracted to the flowering trees in our yard.
Cherry blossoms glowing orange in the morning sunlight
The flowering quince is a common shrub around town with its brilliant bright red blooms.
Cherry trees of all varieties are very popular
Magnolias are somewhat less common, but not unusual by any means
There is nothing quite like standing under a spring sky!
An afternoon moon above the pink magnolia blossoms
Native honeybee. There is a wild hive in a stump just up the street.
Crimson rosellas in the cherry tree
Red camellia blossoms in our yard
The willows are starting to turn that bright spring green
I find it interesting that the camellia blossoms drop to the ground before they can wither on the plant.
Beautiful pictures! I especially like the fence and the moon. Happy Spring!
