Spring, Stage Two

The cherry blossoms from our cherry tree have completely blown away.
It's been quite cool again this week but despite that it feels like late spring.  Most of the cherry blossoms are done blooming and the trees are completely leafed out.  There are more and more spring flowers and our days are noticeably longer.  If it were just a little bit warmer, it would really feel like summer could be just around the corner!

We've had a little rain and the grass is beginning to green.

More insects out and about with a little warmer weather

Chinese pistachio trees are a common sight lining the streets
in Armidale, and are beginning to flower.

We had this type of tree in our backyard in Michigan, so
seeing the green leafy seeds feels a little nostalgic.

There are some late straggling cherry blossoms about, but most
of the blossoms have fallen.
