Dorrigo, September Visit

Looking up through the Dorrigo canopy.  The temperate rainforest is quiet and still but for the sound of whip-crack birds
and the occasional brushturkey.

The Dorrigo National Park/Gondwana World Heritage Site is probably one of our favorite places
in our part of New South Wales.

It's very hard to see, even in the full zoom photo, but there's a regent bowerbird perched on the top of the center tree.

The canopy from the Dorrigo Skywalk, looking northeast.

The view from the Skywalk: looking east.  On some days you can see the ocean.

One of the trees below the skywalk, beginning to bloom.
