Frosty winter mornings

Our last frosty winter morning for two weeks (hopefully)! We have had some cold mornings (and nights) (and days) over the past month. Cold for here at least. I don't really mind it, it's definitely not as cold as what we've done in the past. It's really nice to have a house to come home to which can actually be effectively heated, even if the whole day at work is cold. And of course the frost is very pretty.

We are going to take a weekend sometime this winter
to have a proper Christmas in July.

Last weekend and a couple days this week it was so cold and we had such inclement weather, the highway was closed north of Armidale to Guyra. Apparently it snowed in Armidale on Saturday, but Saturday in Uralla was beautiful blue skies (and cold, but sunny so our sunroom heated right up.) It was a cold and rainy Monday morning in Uralla when we had some snow--nothing substantial to speak of but rather a classic 'wintery mix'.

A heavy frost in the morning almost makes it look like a light
dusting of snow ... almost.
