This weekend we finally went to Kentucky, a small community southeast of Uralla. On the return drive we decided to stop at Thunderbolt's Rock. These granite boulders are so named because Captain Thunderbolt, gentleman bushranger (Frederick Ward) used it as a vantage point to monitor coaches along the road. He also hid here when being pursued to his death by Constable Walker in 1870.

| Hooray for top-notch lichen |
| We both asked the question "so .. why are these rocks here again?" |
