The tree by our front (back) door is starting to look like it was designed by Dr Seuss. (Not sure what kind of tree this is, but I don't think it's likely to be Australia-native, since the leaves turned colors last autumn.) It's been kind of fun watching it get ready for summer.

| (It's hard to tell, but most of the little puffy balls have little leaves growing out of the top.) |
Also, we just began Daylight Savings (still can't wrap my mind around "
springing forward" in October) so it was a lovely quiet dark morning when we woke up today: no barking neighbor dogs from five am onwards. (This also means if you drive up north to Queensland, you have to adjust your clock appropriately, as QLD does not observe Daylight Savings.)
Anyway, it's nice to see the morning clouds instead of trying to sleep through them. Looking forward to some after-breakfast walks in the next few weeks.
