Some of the eucalyptus around town are blooming, including one a short walk from our flat. The blossoms bring flocks of rainbow lorikeets and wattlebirds. The lorikeets are especially noisy first thing in the morning--though we had a little respite today since it was -3°C (26°F) overnight and they didn't start their noisy chatter until after 7am.
