Birds

About a month ago I went out for a morning walk without any intention of taking these photos... but was distracted, as usual, by one of my favorite photographic subjects.  Just in an hour I saw so many different birds: magpies, wood ducks, currawongs, galahs, wattlebirds, a cuckoo shrike, eastern rosellas, a darter, honeyeaters, kookaburras, crimson rosellas, European starlings, fairy wrens, magpie larks, crows, crested pigeons and more.  It's fun to be able to recognize and name the different birds we see around here.

It couldn't decide whether or not to fly away as I approached.
